My mantra: "Ride the world"

Finally, I „landed“ in South America: after a very nice evening with Pablo, I woke up early – thanks to jet lag – and realised: I am here!

If you ask yourself, what is meant with „here“, give a look to the pictures. That’s South America, and in particular Santiago de Chile 🇨🇱

This taste, the smell, the noice, …that’s so typical and heart warming! Once you’ve experienced that, you’ll always remember and ever desire. It’s very different from the European culture, but not worse or silly; it’s different and worth to reflect! I felt very well and welcomed, when I walked along the streets and in the markets. Not a single adverse situation … clearly good moments!

When I went for a beer (see the typical size of bottles here!), I realised some kind of loneliness. Of course, I was not alone in that place, but I was without my „one-in-eight-billion“ 😢 This situation was/is one of – if not THE – challenge of this trip. I phoned Vivi and we deeply appreciated and enjoyed hearing each other. This kind of „connection“, although only via phone, is breath to my life. I’d lying, when saying: I can go a few days without her. Long story short: ❤️

Having slept not very well, I was able to pick up my bike today. This turned emotions upwards again. Give a look to the beast after refuelling her with 97 octane and myself with a cold coke:

It took us about 3 hours to pass customs. Whether this was quick or long, you can decide yourself; we are in South America 😅

Once relieved, we made kilometres towards the north:

Now, we are at Viña del Mar and deserve a comfortable and safe rest in a cosy and beautiful hostel with safeguarded parking

To sum up: it’s challenging. This regards to physical, mental and emotional provocations. However, I am convinced we’ll manage! At least for tonight, I found a good place for recreation.
